#Blindside

The biggest upset of the 2013 college football season came on November 7. The (5)Stanford Cardinals beat the (3)Oregon Ducks 26-20. It was a blowout the whole game until a late surge by the Ducks that changed things up in the fourth quarter. It happened to be too little too late. The Cardinal, who possessed the ball for 42:34 compared to just 17:26 by the Ducks can really tell you how Stanford dominated the line of scrimmage. Oregon in this game was known for fumbling the ball inside the twenty yard line twice. These costly turnovers are a big reason why Oregon lost this game.

Marcus Mariota may have ruined his Heisman hopes again this year, but that is overshadowed by how he apparently had injured his knee while in practice. He was wearing a knee brace which does not allow you to be as mobile when you are running the football. Stanford has now crushed Oregon's chances at a championship two years in a row if the top 5 teams keep winning.

There are three games that catch my eye this weekend. The first one is (4)Stanford at Usc.This game has huge implications on the PAC 12 championship and I will tell you why. If Usc wins this game that would put themselves in the drivers seat in the South, and Oregon would jump right back into controlling their own destiny in the North. College Gameday is there this weekend also. The game will be at 7:00 PM on ABC.

The second game that catches my eye is (16)Michigan State at Nebraska. The team that wins this game is likely to find themselves in the Big Ten Championship game in December. The blackshirts which is lead by Ciante Evans and Randy Gregory has really improved this year. The quarterback position has been up and down this season with Martinez having a turf toe injury. Michigan State is lead by their defense which is among the best in the country. They have been a shutdown defense this year with their offense struggling. We will find out at 2:30 PM on ABC.

Lastly the game that has big implications is the (12)Oklahoma State Cowboys at the (23)Texas Longhorns. Oklahoma State has made a quarterback change in the middle of this season. JW Walsh has lost the starting job and Clint Chelf has taken over. Texas which fired its defensive coordinator early in the season has really stepped it up with Jackson Jeffcoat coming from the defensive end position. We will find out how this game turns out at 2:30 PM on Fox. This will be a big Saturday in the world of college football.
